it's a good thing jozlyn loves babies!

Jozlyn loves giving her dollies baths, feeding them, changing their diapers..etc. etc. That means I am going to have quite the helper in January. Yep - Jozlyn is going to be a BIG SISTER! We are super excited to be blessed with another addition to our family. We can't wait!





...and Jozlyn always makes sure daddy has plenty of hugs to get him through his days at work.

It's been a while! Here's a little update on us. Jozlyn's growing into a sweet little girl right before our eyes! Her vocabulary is really starting to take off, it's adorable! Jozlyn loves babies and can usually be seen caring one around on her hip. She hardly ever let's you leave without giving you a big smoochers and a "hi" (which is Jozlyn language for hug). She adores her Aunt Sissy and has to call her on the phone at least once a day, along with her Grammy. For the most part she is a social butterfly and loves to entertain! Here are some recent pics of our 19 month old sweetie pie!

Since it was a fairly nice day out compared to the cold we've had lately, I took Jozlyn outside for a while to explore. Here is our day!

It was all good until I had to bring her inside....poor girl, soon it will be spring!

oh the humor

Since Jozlyn was about 10 months old I've been known as mama. Mama is great, but there is just something in me that makes me feel like more of a mommy kinda gal. I've been trying to sway Joz to feel the say way. She would say "mama" and I say "no sweetie it's mommy- can you say mommeeeeeeee".

Did she catch on? Nope. Now I'm MIMI. Mimi, seriously? I'll take mama over that.

My daughter now refers to me as Mimi probably just to spite the fact that I couldn't be content with mama. Oh the many things this girl has taught me, add contentment to the list. Oh well, the other day I was shouting for Cal to come up from his man cave, Jozlyn picked up on that and 1/2 the time now refers to him as Cal. Lots of humor here at the Cal and Mimi household. She continues to make us laugh everyday.

i'm back!

In case you were wondering...I'm back from a much need holiday/winter break. It's been a great few weeks off from the photography world but I'm really to get back into the swing of it!

Get excited for some fun new things coming up, like a fresh, new blog that I'm working on, some awesome shots with my NEW LENS that my darling hubby suprised me with, and some adorable clients that I get to meet in a few weeks. Can't wait!

But for now, here's my favorite subject...
